in which Totoro boops Mana Ashida on the head.
Japanese child actress Mana was embarrassed that she couldn’t pronounce Guillermo Del Toro’s name so he gave her special permission to call him “Totoro-san” instead.

I will not settle
for bits and pieces of you.
I want all of you.
why do people say “don’t be a pussy” when talking about weakness more like “don’t be a man’s ego” because you know there isn’t nothing more fragile than that
because “pussy” is the shortened form of the word “pusillanimous”, which means “timid, cowardly”
and not the slang word for the female genital region?
literally no one else knows this. nobody.
The comic that Togashi Yoshihiro (creator of Yu Yu Hakusho, Hunter x Hunter) made about marrying Takeuchi Naoko (creator of Sailor Moon) is so cute what nice lovely people.
Just a fraction of the cool stuff I learned when researching women’s history.

"conclusion: dinosaurs" is still my favorite rebuttal to just about anything tbh.
Second perhaps only to “Therefore: aliens”
If a tree falls in the forest and doesn’t blog about it, does anyone care?
I have a midterm next week I really need to pass and there is no review sheet! Studying is not really my forte so…assistance? :3
as some people may have already noticed, google has added a link to their homepage advertising #banbossy, a movement to teach young girls how to be independent and assertive. from the website’s home page:
"When a little boy asserts himself, he’s called a ‘leader’. Yet when a little girl does the same, she risks being branded ‘bossy’. Words like bossy send a message: don’t raise your hand or speak up. By middle school, girls are less interested in leading than boys- a trend that continues into adulthood. Together we can encourage girls to lead."
on the website, you can “pledge to ban bossy”, and that will automatically share the site on your facebook. you can share on other social media sites as well. the site has videos explaining their cause, lists of helpful tips for parents to help their daughters, and tons of other really cool stuff. if you’re not already sold on it, the movement is partially funded by the girl scouts (just one more reason to add to the list of why theyre becoming freaking awesome).
please spread around to let others know!!
